Już 21.04.2012 w Krakowie, podczas cyklicznej imprezy Covenant, która odbędzie się w Klubie Kwadrat, mielecko-tarnowski STILLBORN będzie celebrował 15-lecie istnienia zespołu. Podczas nomen omen piętnastej edycji tej imprezy zespół zaprezentuje specjalny set złożony głównie z utworów ze swojego najnowszego albumu Los Asesinos del Sur wydanego sumptem Ataman Productions. Będzie to pierwszy koncert grupy od momentu premiery płyty i prawdopodobnie jedyny, jaki STILLBORN zagra w tym roku dla swoich najbardziej zagorzałych fanów.

STILLBORN to przede wszystkim dziesiątki koncertów zagranych m.in. u boku takich zespołów, jak IMPIETY, ANGELCORPSE, REVENGE czy ARKHON INFAUSTUS oraz twórcy i organizatorzy niezapomnianej serii koncertów pod nazwą Legions Of Death. Ponadto setki wywiadów oraz recenzji, kilka taśm demo oraz cztery duże albumy, w tym wydany we wrześniu ubiegłego roku, bardzo dobrze przyjęty na całym świecie, bezwzględny i zaskakujący, wspomniany już Los Asesinos del Sur. STILLBORN to także zespół kontrowersyjny, nieokrzesany, enigmatyczny, prowokujący całokształtem artystycznym, ale przede wszystkim wierny tradycyjnej, bezkompromisowej death/black metalowej formule.

Oto jak podsumowuje ten intensywny okres założyciel i lider zespołu, Killer:
Gotowała razu pewnego zatroskana matka Synowi swemu sos snu. Niestety wykipiał... Okazało się, że Synów tych i matek ich było więcej na tym łez padole. Gorączka obłędów skrzyżowała ich drogi życiowe i tak oto wypłynął jad. Jad słów, jad czynów i sonicznej zagłady. Przez pierwsze 10 lat starzeli się powoli, a ich zdawałoby się niekontrolowane napady szału próbowano złapać na lep zwany taśmą magnetofonową. Udało się. Potem było już tylko gorzej. Postanowili użyć swego wdzięku i postanowili oczarować na żywo stosy umysłów równie obłąkanych jak oni sami. Stosy bywały momentami wielkie i szalone, lecz stawały się chwilami marnym płomyczkiem tracącej gaz zapalniczki. Ostatnie 5 lat postarzało niestety synów tych, lecz z nietrzymających otworów nadal sączył się jad. Nadszedł czas Morderców z Południa!

WACKEN METAL BATTLE POLSKA edycja 2012

Wacken Metal Battle to prestiżowy międzynarodowy konkurs dla zespołów odbywający się od 2004 roku. Jest on podzielony na kilka etapów. Pierwszym z nich jest finał krajowy (w 2012 odbędzie się on po raz szósty również w Polsce). Zwycięzca rywalizacji w naszym kraju zmierzy się następnie w Ścisłym Finale, który odbędzie się podczas festiwalu Wacken Open Air 2012 w Niemczech.

Co można wygrać?
Zwycięzca polskiego finału Wacken Metal Battle weźmie udział w Ścisłym Finale Wacken Metal Battle w Niemczech, gdzie fundatorami nagród są między innymi Marshall, Washburn, Mapex, Sabian, Sure, Dean. Głównymi nagrodami w światowym finale WMB są również: profesjonalny kontrakt płytowy oraz koncerty jako gwiazda wieczoru podczas krajowych finałów Wacken Metal Battle 2013 w całej Europie.
Przypominamy, iż dotychczasowi zwycięzcy polskiej edycji - Corruption oraz Chainsaw w światowym finale byli 'o włos' od zwycięstwa zajmując drugie miejsca!!!

Kto może się zgłosić?
Każdy zespół, który nie posiada aktualnie podpisanego kontraktu wielopłytowego z profesjonalną wytwórnią. Zgłoszenia zawierające materiał demo (CD/ CD-R), biografię zespołu z fotografią oraz dane kontaktowe należy nadsyłać do dnia 29.02.2012 roku pod adres:

Koncert finałowy odbędzie się w klubie Od Nowa na dużej scenie - zagra pięciu finalistów oraz dwie grupy poza konkursem. Jedną z nich będzie ubiegłoroczny zwycięzca WMB 2011 PL - Leash Eye z Warszawy. Wstęp na finał WMB 2012 PL - wolny!!!

Program nie doszedł do skutku ze względu na korektę ramówki Antyradia związaną z transmisją XX finału WOŚP. Niestety nikt z radiowych decydentów nie raczył mnie o tym poinformować i zjawiłem się wczoraj w rozgłośni na pusto, zastając na posterunku Ciechana i Bazyla.
Słyszymy się 15 stycznia o 23.00.
